Insider's Guide to Paris
Parler Paris -FREE Newsletter published by Adrian Leeds
Can you believe it is nearly fall. Folks who desperately need a vacation this fall are frantically looking and finding Provence B&Bs and Paris apartments are filling up. Choices are limited. I just booked 5 weeks in Provence for Christmas and four lovely ladies are grouping up and sharing a villa in Provence combined with a week in Paris. Ah... I'm jealous. Well really not. I'm heading for Provence next Thursday and will be there all of October.
I just got back in the 31st of August. That trip proved to be so busy, I needed a month to recoup. My social and activities calendar were over booked but I loved it. My next newsletter will be packed with my adventure which included going on a 10K Vendage through the Cote du Rhone village of Vinsobres, the Assension celebration on the 15th, adventures at the brocante, interviewing contractors for renovations, picnics at the Chateau, in the fields of Vinsobres, in the mountains of the drome. The most interesting was the 10k Vendage contest with my team.... all hiking mates only spoke French and so.... I got lots of practice. More on that later.
During this trip I was able to pick up two more great locations to rent in Piegon. One is La Bastide, a B&B (chambre d'hote) and La Rouvierre country apartments. I hope to have them posted soon. The B&B, a delightful home with a grand entrance and lovely rooms also having a fabulous pool with cabana. Dorothy who speaks beautiful English, Dutch, German and French. Of course, I can only attest to the English as I wouldn't call my French beautiful. She then introduced me to Kurt, manager of a country place hosting 4 independent apartments. All quiet large and lovely.
For the most affordable car rental, use this link or the cute Kemwel car in the right column. They are big on matching prices. You pay in US dollars and... they seem to always upgrade my customers, including me. My last trip I ordered a VW Golf automatic, they first gave me a Tuson Hyundai which I traded for an A180 Mercedes. Oo la la ... not that was great little gem. I want one.
If you are looking for your own little place, here is one I thought was simply lovely. Check it out. FOR SALE: Country Farmhouse
